Capitol Hill Visit

On Friday, June 2, 2017, Zontians will travel together to Capitol Hill to advocate for women's issues.  We will meet at one of the Senate or House of Representatives Office Buildings and be briefed by members of the Zonta International Advocacy Committee on the legislation we wish to champion with our legislators.  Then all Zontians will have a chance to visit the offices of their own Senators and Congressmen to share Zonta's concerns.  We know that as a constituent, your opinions have clout and they will listen!    Those from outside of the United States can  accompany U.S. Zontians to meet with their representatives.  If you sign up early enough, we will make appointments for you with your legislators or their appropriate staff member.  However, even if you decide to attend later on, you can still visit those offices, ask to see someone to explain your concerns and definitely leave behind the material we will provide you.  Finally, we hope to have our group photo taken at the Capitol.  This is a chance to make your voice heard at the highest level of our government while enjoying the camaraderie of your fellow Zontians.  We know your participation will make a difference.   Sign up to join us today!
